Christopher Calkin is the founder, President and sole shareholder of The Law Offices of Christopher P. Calkin, P.A. During his over 17-year legal career, Chris has advocated for victim's rights both as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County and as a private attorney in Tampa through his current areas of practice. As a State Prosecutor, Chris tried over 100 jury trials and well over 100 bench trials ranging from simple misdemeanors to high-profile media cases and potential death penalty cases. For the last 13 years, Chris's law firm has represented victims of negligence and insurance company abuses. His law firm's primary focus is representing automobile accident victims and healthcare professionals whose claims are denied, underpaid or ignored by insurance companies that refuse to resolve such claims in a prompt manner. Chris has significant experience with representing clients in personal injury/automobile accident cases and Personal Injury Protection ("PIP") litigation through individual causes of action, class actions and bad faith litigation. Several of these cases have been cases of first impression throughout Florida where Chris and his firm have established new law in Florida for the benefit of Florida motorists and healthcare professionals that provide medical treatment to automobile accident victims. Chris is admitted to practice throughout the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
